We are David & Eleanor Gray and live in Worcestershire,

just five minutes from M5, Junction 6.

Although I use the terms we/our, the cats are my hobby

but my husband loves them all dearly.

I work part-time so here most of the day to care for the cats, which does take an awful amount of time,

especially when we have kittens!

I am a member of

British Shorthair Cat Club & Short Haired Cat Society

& support both clubs each year by exhibiting.

In 2002, I purchased a gorgeous kitten as a pet, who I named ‘Owlena ’  (see Archive page).

I was absolutely smitten with her and after a lot of thought, decided I’d like to breed.

After reading as many books and articles on the subject, I attended the Supreme Cat Show.

It was then I realised how high the standard was and if I wanted to breed properly, would need to invest in the very best breeding lines.

In Spring 2004, I met Ann Stubbs (the renowned Positively cattery)

who was immensely kind, helpful and full of knowledge.

With Ann’s introduction, I purchased two kittens from Peter & Ruta Towse

of the highly successful Miletree Cattery.

After years of ‘trial & error’, expense, heartache and joy, you will see the resulting cats. . .

I am grateful to all the Breeders who have shared their knowledge, experience and allowed their cats to become part of our lives ~ This has kept us on the right road to breeding better British.

Here is our Cattery, which has been professionally constructed with insulation and light and where our Studs and Queens reside.

They all have large scratching posts, shelves, toys and balls to keep them occupied and when they are not sleeping or eating, enjoy radio ‘Five Live’.

In Spring 2010 we are planning to enclose our garden using specialist fencing. This will allow all our cats to exercise thoroughly while being safe.

All of our ‘foundation’ cats are now neutered and have either found wonderful five * homes or live in the house with

us as our pets.

How it all began . . .
